Public Relations

As well as the many activities for Unisys customers, UIMC is also able to position itself as an actor in the development of the local economy. The UIMC maintains excellent relationships with the community in and around Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

In particular:

• Government organisations (Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Vence, La Colle sur loup, Nice municipalities)
• Chamber of commerce Nice Côte d’Azur
• CANCA (Communauté d’Agglomeration Côte d’Azur)
• Comité Régional du Tourisme (Regional Tourism Committee)
• Association de la Sine (Organisation that focuses on protecting the environment in Saint Paul)
• Vence Ouest ( Association for the protection of the forests of Vence and the surrounding areas)
• Cultural Associations and Tourist Offices

Each year the UIMC supports the local community in the following cultural events:

• Nuits du Sud The UIMC has been a partner of these musical concerts since 1998.
  Musical concerts in Vence, which celebrate music from around the world. They take place every year at the end of July to August on the main square in Vence. The press conference prior to the festival takes place in the premises of UIMC. For the first time in 2008 Unisys was involved in the selection of the Young Talents “Talents Nuits du Sud – Unisys”.

• Nuits de la CourtineSaint -Paul-de-Vence
  Theatre, music and opera events in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the Courtine Square which can be found at the foot of the fortress of Saint-Paul.
  
  
• Charity Events
  Telethon
  The French Association against Myopathies (AFM) aims to transform the research and treatments for people dealing with neuromuscular diseases and the Telethon increases awareness and raises money for this cause. Since 2007 the UIMC has supported the local community with this charity event by offering them the use of the centre to hold a concert for young local singers.
  
  
• Association Art Culture and Tradition
  Saint-Paul-de-Vence
  Since 1995 the UIMC has participated in the yearly concert held in the Church of Saint-Paul.

Other PR events and relations:

• MPI Café
  The local MPI (Meeting Professionals International) is an international association of event planners. They organise monthly events called MPI Café with the members who are event organisers and event suppliers.
  
  
• Tourist Office Relations
  The UIMC has partnerships with the local tourist offices and this relationship allows participants of the seminars at the centre to benefit from special arrangements and personalised tours. The local mayors often visit the UIMC and can occasionally give presentations on their respective town to the event participants at the UIMC.

• Fondation Maeght
  UIMC is a member of the “Amis Fondation Maeght”. The contemporary art gallery is only 1km away from the centre. Seminar attendees frequently visit this gallery during their free time.
